To begin the descent we have to climb by car from Ollantaytambo for approximately one hour and a half heading to the Malaga pass, at 4,320 m.a.s.l. (13,877 ft), a place that marks the division between the mountains and the jungle of Cusco. You can observe how the vegetation changes along the way.

CUSCO'S SOUTH VALLEY

Andahuaylillas Airport Radar

Outstanding for its colonial architecture, Andahuaylillas is located at the South Valley, 40 kms away from Cusco city. Its church is known as “America´s Sistine Chapel” as it is painted entirely frescoed.
To arrive at the beginning of the trail, we have to climb by car the interoceanic road for approximately an hour, until we arrive at the airport radar of Cusco, located at 4,467 m.a.s.l. (14,655 ft).

The trail: Fluid trail, with less rocks and stairs than the Sacred Valley trails. The first section is repeated twice to take advantage of the two existing trails: Downhill trail and Enduro trail, both really fun.
